Construction Estimators

Lumber List Express is a thirty-four-year-old Construction Estimating company headquartered in a beautiful and casual office in Mooresville N.C. We now have a second office in the stunning Brookfield place of the World Financial Center in New York City. We are looking for experienced or junior construction estimators to perform intricate lumber quantity take-offs on very large and complex wood-framed projects. All applicants will be tested to determine their level of expertise and subsequent compensation. Since our work is very intricate there will be a substantial amount of training even for an experienced estimator.
Our specialty is lumber quantity take-offs on multi-family, hotels, assisted living, student housing, and other commercial projects. Our clients are large lumber companies, framing contractors, and developers located throughout the country. Since many of our projects are hundreds of thousands of square feet and involve millions of dollars in materials, we seek a very detail-oriented person who can take and retain direction. The experience that we require is the ability to read commercial blueprints along with two years of experience or architectural drafting skills. Competitive Salary & Benefits
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year depending on experience & skill level.
Essential Qualifications
- Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in commercial blueprint reading
- At least 2 years of construction (framing or estimating.)
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel
- Motivated and dependable.
- Estimating software experience, Plan Swift (on-screen take-off) or AutoCAD is a plus.

Supplemental Pay Types

Experience
- Two years of construction estimating or on-screen drafting 2 years (Preferred).
Lumber Takeoff Estimator

The experience that we require is the ability to read commercial blueprints along with two years of experience and excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Working on these types of projects will require at least some training for even the most experienced applicants. Any applicants will be tested to determine their skill level and subsequently their compensation level.
This is not a remote position.
